AI generates suggestions – we verify, question, and decide.
The final decision always lies with humans.
AI is a tool, not a replacement for human judgement.
In Practice
- Check Sources: AI can hallucinate. Always verify facts with trustworthy sources before using them.
- Question: Critically question assumptions in AI outputs. Why does the AI suggest this? What data basis does it have?
- Own Judgement: Trust your expertise and intuition. You know the context better than any AI.
- Responsibility: The final decision always lies with you – never the AI. You bear the consequences.
Why This Matters
AI systems are trained on data from the internet – with all its errors, prejudices, and biases. They can generate convincingly sounding but false information ("hallucinations"). Critical thinking is therefore not optional, but essential.
In our courses, you learn to formulate prompts to get better results – but also how to systematically evaluate those results.
Human Responsibility
Technology serves humanity. Not the other way around.
We retain control over our tools.
The ethics of action lie with humans.
Your Responsibility
- Tool Selection: You decide which AI tools you use and how. You are not forced to use every technology.
- Usage: You decide how you use and adapt AI outputs. Copy-paste is rarely the best solution.
- Final Result: You bear full responsibility for your work – even if AI helped.
- Ethical Boundaries: You determine the ethical boundaries of your actions. What is allowed with AI, what is not?
Societal Dimension
AI influences decisions in job applications, credit lending, and law enforcement. Those who use AI share responsibility for its impact on other people.
We promote awareness of this responsibility – through transparent discussion and reflection in our community.
